In my opinion, books are the best accessory.
What a distracting, busy week. Playing a little catch up now… from Saturday. I accept there will be weeks like this.
Continuing the challenge from: Jen Vincent @ TeachMentorTexts:
Enjoyed reading Howliday Inn by James Howe as an audio book. This continuing story led us to also read Hot Fudge which was a picture book with the main characters of the series. Really cute to read with my son whose eye’s opened wide seeing characters, settings, and story in picture book form after only listening to the story before…
Two picture books I really enjoyed rereading this week:
Backseat A-B-See by Maria van Lieshout
This was the perfect fit book for my Kindergarten students and teachers with their unit on symbols. Beautiful alphabet book!
Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett, illustrated by Jon Klassen
This is one of those magical picture books that provides readers with suspense, excitement, and mystery… had wonderful conversations with students about the magical element. Love hearing student’s opinions on what happened in the story.
I’ll see what I achieve in this challenge, from Jen Vincent’s webpage:
My progress- 3 Novels, 5 picture books, 3 blog posts… (Rereading Rockstar status?!) Enjoying the challenge and 2 Saturdays to go! My first two posts:
Reread 1 novel (MG or YA) and 3 picture books or chapter books.
Write at least 1 blog post or 1 comment that shares your rereading experience.
Any book that you have read before – whether it was 20 years ago or 20 minutes ago counts as a reread!
