Styling Librarian: Rereading Fun: 4/21/12
Continuing the challenge from: Jen Vincent @ TeachMentorTexts: I enjoyed reading The Celery Stalks at Midnight by James Howe as an audio book. This continuing story led us to also read Scared Skilly which was a picture book with the main characters of the series. Really cute to read with my son whose eye’s opened wide seeing characters, settings, and story in picture book form after only listening to the story and reading one other picture book from the series before… Can’t get enough of these!
Scared Silly and The Celery Stalks at Midnight by James Howe
One picture book I really enjoyed rereading this week:
You Are a LION! and other Fun Yoga Poses by Taeeun Yoo – I look forward to sharing this with a class in addition to reading it over and over with my son. Beautiful illustrations and easily accessible yoga poses. I’ve been doing yoga as healthy activity – Iyengar to be specific- for over 6 years and am quite passionate about it. Also, I love reading children’s yoga books. Another favorite is: My Daddy is a Pretzel: Yoga for Parents and Kids by Baron Baptiste.
My progress- 5 Novels, 8 picture books, 4 blog posts… (Rereading Rockstar status!) Enjoying the challenge and 1 Saturdays to go! My first three posts:
