Styling Librarian: Gumraiser Day
Students, gum and candy are taking over the library!
My student library advisory club just created recorded PA announcements for their Gumraiser day which they’re planning for celebration of National Children’s Book Week for this Friday. What a fun time it is to see everything come together after discussions and planning for a few months.
Here’s the scoop:
Students will be all welcome during their lunch recess times into the library this Friday, May 11th to purchase a piece of gum for $ .25. The club agreed the rules are: they must chew the gum only in the library, no refunds, students may only spend up to $5, and if a student donates a $1, they will receive one piece of gum and a special bracelet. The club will run the selling, monitoring, and reading aloud books during the fundraiser and are excited to have an opportunity chew gum in the library! Don’t forget your quarters!
