Styling Librarian: Whatever Wednesday, Nov. 7 2012
For today: Be Kind Focus: Here’s my sixth “Whatever Wednesday” post… I shared other things in the past that tickled my fancy, but I appreciate my twitter and Facebook friend David Etkin’s ( @davidaetkin ) Whatever Wednesday meme and thought it would be fun to reflect on one thing each week that really catches my attention, entertains me, and is special enough I just have to share it with the world.
Here’s my Whatever Wednesday Randomness:
Inspiring movies:
1. I am inspired by deep water diving and coral reefs. If I could get over hating swimming… but no, for now, here’s my new favorite visual dive in Fiji and Tonga including names of the special places divers love:
2. Fun videos that inspire me to sing with my students… I adore They Might Be Giants- Here come the 1, 2, 3′s and A, B, C’s- fantastic. Found something similar that I enjoyed from StoryBots:
3. Neighbors- Not your daddy’s mid-life crisis movie!- (embed code doesn’t work- see link at beginning!) – a favorite author friend shared this video and I was impressed and inspired by the way we now have the opportunity to help others by investing in their projects online from anywhere… I also love a few of these projects presently: 1. Kate Messner’s KidLit Cares Auction for Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort and 2. Support School Libraries Fundraiser
Thank you again to “Eat the Book” for the Whatever Wednesday meme: http://mretome.wordpress.com David Etkin’s words: “Whatever Wednesday — a chance to post something I’ve seen that I’m diggin’. Though often a cool quote or poster, it might simply be a picture.”
