Styling Librarian Hong Kong Y2 Wk9 Chimelong Special Edition
Visiting Chimelong, which is in Guangzhao, China was a wonderful experience. We met up with two other families and had fun coordinating our different adventures, eating meals together, and relaxing as well. Chimelong Resort is just under a two hour train ride away from Hong Kong, you could also get there by boat, and has so many things packed in close proximity to one another yet enormous in their own right… We visited: a waterpark, amusement park, and safari. We can visit another time: crocodile farm and circus. Great place for families, children love this as well, plus anyone who likes a good water park with many choices, this is a good place to visit!
Are you ready?
First, let’s enter the resort hotel, pretty darn good location:
Next, let’s quickly drop all our stuff and head to the water park! I personally avoided them for the first day but had fun the second day…
Let’s go visit animals over at the safari, please understand, this was a little challenging to us sometimes because of our feelings about wanting animals to simply be free in the wild.
My highlight of the weekend, spending time with a beautiful koala…
Want to go to Chimelong Paradise and ride one roller coaster after another? Well, perhaps you’ll have fun here too! What, coming first thing in the morning means no lines! We loved this!! Here’s a secret, you can save a little money on the wet water rides by snagging used raincoats at the end of the rides, little costs add up.
Not much to share on food this adventure, we ate at the same restaurant for pretty much every meal and brought our own food for breakfast… One of the most puzzling moments was when I wandered through the Chimelong Hotel and found a Peacock Lounge and other areas- WHY is there a Wild Alaska Halibut sign there, in China?! Made me miss fresh fish from neighbors growing up in Alaska!
There are many places in China that we’re hoping to visit soon enough, from Beijing to Shanghai to Xi’an, shall see when our next adventure comes.
