Styling Librarian Hong Kong Year 2 Week 18

December 1, 2013
Art at mall.

Busy week with the change to full time at work in addition to double holiday celebrations, school night market, a year level performance of their interpretation of The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt, illustrated by Oliver Jeffers, school night market, and a little wandering around our neighborhood as well.

Holidays are quite special for our family, this year we decided that it would be special to go to a restaurant and enjoy Thanksgiving/Chanukah dinner there. Turned out pretty yummy to enjoy and we had fun as a family. After we finished dinner, we were able to recover from the crazy MTR ride there- took 5 trains going by until we were able to walk with the crowds into the train, quite a crowd.

Throughout the year, students at Bradbury enjoy performing and celebrating what they’ve learned. This past week, a year level performed a special interpretation of the wonderful book The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt, illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. They shared poems, interpretive music, dancing and wonderful presentations for each color presented in the book. This is such a special book!

Also, Bradbury Night Market was packed with people and quite fun to enjoy with numerous vendors and amazing food stalls. It was fun to visit food from various countries, meet local vendors, and listen to the school choir perform. I forgot to take pictures of the event except for an art stall…

Enjoyed trying this place out.

shop hoursIt was a wandering around our neighborhood morning on Saturday and we were finally able to visit the new local bakery, enjoyed a delicious cinnamon roll and chocolate bun… Then we wandered through Victoria Park into Causeway Bay and found a store, Homeless, which is in a few different locations. This one had more room than the other and less items, but it was fun to wander around.

So, a little more activity this week.

Happy holidays to those celebrating!
